It Just Can't Be That Simple

If I were the judge, this would be the Bellinhgham Tea Party's winning sign.

  Primer
Earlier this week Barry warned the economy is still hurting. Yet over the last couple of weeks the stock market posted a modest rally. And today the truly intelligent citizens protested against the up coming tax hikes.

Smells like Barry & Nancy are starting to worry they won't get to pull the trigger on that second bailout bill they've been hinting about.

  WTF of the Day
What is up with dog owners? I constantly see little plastic bags of dog poop lying along side the trails. (And I'm sure not everyone comes back & gets them.) I can not even begin to fathom the thought process involved in this decision. If you don't intend to carry it, why do you even bag it? Wouldn't it be much simpler to just kick it off the trail. It certainly is better for the environment that dispersing little plastic bags all over creation.

People. Can't understand them. Can't shoot them. Grrrrrr.....

  The Next Stimulus
In the news today: Congress is considering a plan to pay criminals to not commit crimes. The House believes it will both stimulate the economy and lessen the burden on our nations prison system. Lobbyist representing police unions from around the country are working to kill the measure.

Okay, okay, take a Valium & relax before you pop and artery, I made-up that bit. But given some of the things Congress has done lately it doesn't sound all that far fetched. Heck, I can even picture the news media reporting the benefits - with a straight face no less.

  Duck & Cover
I'm sure your initial reaction will be to look away. I can't say I blame you. The ravages of excessive Botox usage are usually rather frightful.

In fact this sorry display is third in line to be the leader of the free world. Let's all pray the secret service doesn't screw the pooch twice. Or if they do, they quickly convert score a trifecta.

  Gub'ment Warranty
Now the government is going to "guarantee" the warranty for new purchases of GM & Chrysler automobiles. Stress the word new because Oprah isn't going to point out that existing warranties will not get the same coverage. So if you bought your new GM POS last week, sorry.

I can see where that plan would make sense & be fair in a liberal's mind.

The government "initiative" isn't going to do much to convince me to buy domestic - i.e. the black section in the Consumer Reports auto guide. I prefer to buy vehicles which don't really need a warranty.

Today Ann Coulter blogged the following dig: ".... And all the taxpayers will get a lube job. The new GM owner's manual will come with a disclaimer: "Close enough for government work."..."

I want to know who is going to honor those warranties after Barry & Nancy finish bankrupting the federal government. Yes I do believe the unthinkable can happen.

Logic dictates otherwise.
